You know …
I have to admit, I’m getting into a habit, recently.
No, really.
I’ve gotten into the habit, every-so-often, of watching TV!
Well, yeah, I hear you say: a lot of people do!
Yes, I know.
But, over the past few months, I’ve managed to catch up with a few box-sets: mostly? Mostly Penny Dreadful, and House of Cards.
Oh, and something else …
Blimey, this show’s addictive!

Episode 5 — Quick and Painless — opens by showing us a police raid on a New York housing estate: one that has some some infected people in it … but ALSO that has strigoi lurking about.
Meanwhile? Nora (Mia Maestro) has to look after Zach (Max Charles): as Eph decides to head for Washington, to get help in mass producing the vampire killing virus he and Nora have developed.
This … ? Against the backdrop of Fet and Dutch helping police with their enquiries: with silver powered grenades.
And Abraham Setrakian still trying to track down the mysterious Occido Lumen.
Episode 6 — Identity — shows us Eph — using forged ID — in Washington: negotiating to start production of the virus.
AND having an brief liaison with the lobbyist who’s seeing it through Congress.
Back in New York? Back in New York Nora and Zach are cornered: by Kelly, And her remaining Feelers.
And an unnamed vampire meeting with the Ancients: after, seemingly, walking through daylight to get to them.

Now …
Addictive?
That’s possibly a little over the top.
But … ?
This second series of The Strain is moving a long a VERY good pace: and certainly keeping me, engrossed!
