You know … I have had doubts.

Which may sound odd, I know.

I’ve had my doubts about the job I’ve got.

It’s a very good job, with a nice bunch of co-workers, a job that’s challenging, makes good use of my customer service skills AND feels socially useful.

Over the past couple of weeks, though?

Having the hours cut has been something of a blow.

Saying that?

I’ve just had next weeks rota in: which looks rather healthier.

At least in the amount of hours I’m down for.

No complaints, there, then.

For now, though?

For now, it’s this week: and I’ve plenty of time off to catch up with a TV show or two …

Bet you can’t guess which TV show … ?

Episode 1 — eps2.0_unm4sk-pt1.tc — gives us a brief re-cap of what’s happened of the last series.

Then introduces us to Susan Jacobs: the Chief Legal Officer for Evil Corps: a talented, wealthy woman … evicted from her plush smart-apartment, then the smart devices start acting up.

Once she’s out … ?

Darlene (Carly Chaikin), sister to Elliot, and one of his fellow fsociety hackers, moves in with a small team.

And immediately starts planning the groups next move.

Episode 2 — eps2.0_unm4sk-pt1.tc sees Elliot (Rami Malek) still in apparently seclusion, still troubled by visits from Mr Robot (Christian Slater) … and dealing badly with them.

Episode 3 — eps2.1_k3rnel-pan1c.ksd shows us a flashback: Mobley (Azhar Khan) renting the arcade that’s due to to become the fsociety from Romero (Ron Cephas Jones) … before both, years later, become fsociety members.

Then … ?   And in scenes foretelling the recent ransomware attack on the NHS, shows what what fsociety to to various E Corp banking systems.

Are you still there?

I hope so, I’d hate to go through the bleary eyed, late night, typing for nothing.

I don’t know if you read any of my posts about the first series of Mr Robot … but, bar the titles*?   The first series had me impressed, with it’s story-telling, sympathetic hero and strange camera angles: AND wanting more.

Which is why I went and bought series two, as soon as I had the chance.

Frankly?   And going on the strength of these first episodes?

That was money well spent.

Money … and time …

Frankly, I’m going to be putting more posts up about this second series.

Series 2 looks like it’ll be on a par with series one.

*        The titles are meant to look like pirated software, or films.   As far as I can tell!   (I don’t know about the unmasking bit: but a kernel panic — if you’re using a Unix based OS, like Mac OS X, or a Linux distribution — crashes, after various bots of software have problems.   I had one or two on the old G4s I had, none on Bruce, the Mac Mini I’ve still got, and just one on my MacPro.   Frankly, the Mac Pro’s had more problems with its hard drive!)
