Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 17th July, 2018.

17th July, 2018.

Yes …

With predicted temperatures somewhere in the mid-twenties, it’s actually looking like it’ll be cooler than yesterday.

I don’t know about you … ?

But I’m looking forward to it: it’s a day off, and I’d like to get something of a breeze going through the flat.

It is a day off, after all …

~≈§≈~

At ANY rate … ?

It’s a day off: one in which the gentle tones of this week’s episode of I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue on in the background.

And a possibly conundrum … of what, if anything, to watch, tonight.

We’ll see, shall we?

~≈§≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring four out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 17th July is World Emoji Day.   The pictograms come from which Asian country?
Q2) 17th July is also International Day for World … what: Justice, Joy or Jerky?
Q3) Which member of the Goodies was born on 17th July, 1940?

Q4) The UK uses two denomination of plastic banknote.   Name either denomination.
A4) The £5 or £10.
Q5) Finally … Pound sterling, the US dollar and the Euro are all which R?
A5) Reserve currency.
Here’s a thought …
“Every London cop who stops someone from taking a picture of a public building, every TSA agent who takes away your kid’s toothpaste, every NSA spook who wiretaps your email, does the terrorist's job for him.”
Cory Doctorow, July 17, 1971.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        It’s a good little film, Olga‡: I may well have undersold it, to be frank.   And I can imagine.   I can remember the family Spanish holidays, back in the day: and the heat, for a suburban kid from Essex was definitely … noticeable.   (I’m lucky: I can get a through-draft going, by opening my windows.)

†        Actually, Debbi‡, Cardinal Fang was played by the Python team’s resident animator, Terry Gilliam.   Did you ever see The Zero Theorem?   Fascinating watch, that.   I’d call it inspirational.   At least, it inspired me to write a good post …

‡        Sorry about the score: but the answer I was was after was reserve currency.   It’s any foreign money held as a back up to the economy.
