Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 24-1-2021: John Belushi

24th January, 2021.

It’s officially official.

It’s cold out!

Frankly?

I’m going to go out for my usual stroll, at some point: the weather’s th won bit I’m not looking forward to!

~≈⇧≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw  Olga*, Trevor†, Edith‡, Debbi^ and Mumª putting in their answers: with Olga, Trevor, Debbi and Edith scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Feel free to share today’s video Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        I don’t think it ever needs common sense, Olga: just a little bit of thought!
The way I got taught — and lord knows I don’t send out so many mass emails as I did, and I’m just as likely to get it wrong —the way I got taught to send out a mass email was to send it to myself: but blind carbon copy, BCC, it to the people I want to send it too.   That way, it got sent to where it need to go, without anyone seeing anyone else’s addresses.   That’s basic good practice!
And the survey?
Again, I’m notorious for not doing this: but I got taught to read stuff back to myself, before I gave it to a teacher or manager, or hit publish, or press ‘send.’   It’s basic!
It’s … oy … !

†        Bloody hell, I went to Colchester Castle, then I was in school, Trevor.   I keep meaning to go back, but never have!

‡        You scored five out of five, yesterday, Edith: well done!   And I know what you mean about shopping.   I always get frustrated and angry, as well!   Wouldn’t it be nice if someone volunteered to do it for us?

^        Apart from ‘it’s an old expression,’ Debbi?   I honestly couldn’t tell you!   Oh, I went to Brentwood High Street, yesterday.   There’s a set of roadworks, near the bus stop I used.   At one point?   The lights went green … and a car — two cars back from the taxi at the front to the queue, would you believe — honked … as soon as the lights changed!   I had a New York minute go off right in front of me!

ª        Hello, Mum!   (Elizabeth Beresford created the Wombles!)

It was 0C (30/32F in real temperature) when I went for my Sunday Paper at 08.00 this morning.

Yes I have been to Colchester a few times sight-seeing and a number of times to see the Iron play Colchester United. Colchester lay on a bus which goes from near Colchester North station to the new soccer ground.

"I have seen the light!" I think I must watch both BB and BB2 (It's not THAT bad) today...!
...Why do the good ones always die young (well, mostly bc of overdoses but anyway)? What would this world be like if we had gotten to keep the likes of Belushi, Gilda Radner, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix...? And a ton of others...

Loved the video! Yes, reading it back to yourself is something I always recommend to students as well (and to writers). Oh, I'm not sure that you would have heard, but after initial cancelling the Catalan elections, some of the parties went to the Catalan Tribunal to complain, and now they are back on (they had also delayed the elections to choose a chairman for Football Club Barcelona, but now they are back on again) for the 14th of February. That means at least we got a reprieve of a few days' campaign (as the parties didn't think the elections were going to go ahead for a few days).
