Right …
It’s getting late: but I’m trying something of an experiment.
I’ve tried using the same video introduction, twice.
The uppermost copy? Is one I’ve uploaded directly to Nik Nak’s Old Peculiar.
The second, or lower, copy? Is the same video: uploaded to YouTube, and embedded from there.
If you could let me know which one works? I’d appreciate knowing.

Did I mention I’ve been able to afford a new AppleTV?
I’ve been able to afford a new AppleTV: the second generation 4K one, with the A12 processor.
The upside? The thing connects to my media library a lot quicker the the old version, which is good.
The downsides? It took a while to connect the game controller I had.
And the new Siri remote … ?
I like the first generation one: everything you needed was on the front.
The new one, with a very retro click wheel design?
Is a good navigation tool: but doesn’t work well with some of the games I have, ones that relied on the older model’s touch pad.
The second generation model has an ‘Power’ button — and a Siri button — on the right hand side.
Very fiddly, if, like me, you’re left handed!
At any rate … ?
It’s settling in.
Which means I used it to watch And Here’s To You, episode eight of series two of For All Mankind.
I’ll tell you more about that … tomorrow.
But yes: the title’s relevant …
Episode 8 — And Here’s to You — opens: with Ellen (Jodi Balfour) in a formal meeting with President Reagan, himself.
The President’s impressed enough to promote Ellen permanently to the post of NASA Administrator. Complete with a pay rise, office … and a seat on the Cabinet, itself.
The scenes shifts … to Ed (Joel Kinnaman) meeting Gordo (Michael Dorman): as the latter prepares for the most terrifying thing he knows.
His return to the moon.

The credits roll …
And the scenes shift, again.
Once Ellen has left the meeting, Margo and General Bradford (Wren Schmidt and John Marshall Jones) discuss events: and with the General telling Margo the Russians have cancelled the Buran mission, due to a faulty O-ring. With the General unaware that Margo had warned the Russian delegation about the flaw.
We see Ellen later that night, telling her partner, Pam (Meghan Leathers), about her promotion: but confesses that Pam is more important to her, than the job.
Kelly (Cynthy Wu), Karen and Ed’s adopted daughter, visits a local Vietnamese restaurant: one where her sister and father work. She get’s to meet her sister … without revealing who she is.
Gordo meets Tracy, on the moon: and tells her what actually happened when he, Daneille and Ed were there, ten year back.
Whilst, back on Earth? Molly is at an eye doctor: where’s she’s diagnosed with a version of glaucoma.
Aleida managed to embarrass Bill, her boss, and has to apologise: sharing some of her personal history in the process.
Danny and Karen Baldwin (Shantel VanSanten) spend a night together … and argue, in the early morning …
The real tension, though? Comes at the end of And Here’s to You, with armed confrontation between US marines, and Russian Cosmonauts …
Things … look serious …

Now … did I see a very good episode, last night?
And one that — if you know a little about movies? — is called And Here’s to You, for a reason.
I’ll leave you to figure that out, shall I?
But?
Once again, For All Mankind’s knocked out a super episode: and left us with a cliffhanger.
Once again, I’m going to be watching episode nine, next Tuesday, and reviewing it, next Wednesday.
Frankly? Episode Nine better be good …
