Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 27-3-2023 — Quentin Tarantino.

27th March, 2023: Quentin Tarantino.

It’s officially official.

I am knackered!

I had a good night’s sleep: at least in theory.

But … ?

I suspect that the mix of medications I’m on — especially the minimal co-codemol and increased Semaglutide — are having an effect.

Or side effects.

Bouts of occasional stomach acid … and bouts of sleepiness.

I hate being sleepy!

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        Quentin Tarantino was born on 27th March.   Of which year of the 1960s?

Q2)        What’s his middle name: John, Jane or Jerome?

Q3)        His first film, Reservoir Dogs, was released in which year: 1991, 1992 or 1993?

Q4)        Tarantino’s 1994 film, Pulp Fiction, had Uma Thurman on the poster.   Who did Thurman play: Mia Wallace, Fabienne or Honey Bunny?

Q5)        At least five Tarantino movies were distributed by Miramax. Miramax was co-founded by which notorious producer?

Q6)        1993’s True Romance was written by Tarantino.   Who directed True Romance: Tony Scott, Ridley Scott or Montgomery Scott?

Q7)        Tarantino directed part of the 1995 film, Four Rooms.   Which part: ‘The Missing Ingredient’, ‘The Wrong Man’, ‘The Misbehavers’ or ‘The Man From Hollywood’?

Q8)        Tarantino made Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2: released in 2003 and 2004.   Who played the Bride, the main character of the two films?

Q9)        The Kill Bill films weren’t the only two part movies Tarantino was involved with: he directed one of the Grindhouse movies.   Which one of the Grindhouse movies?

Q10)        Finally … ?   Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight featured one of the last film to be scored by whom: John Barry, Ennio Morricone or John Williams?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        26th March is Purple Day in the US and Canada.   The day is supposed to raise awareness of which condition: epilepsy, cancer or asthma?
A1)        Epilepsy.

Q2)        26th March is the feast day of Saint Castulus.   He’s the patron saint of what: sheep theft, horse theft or cattle rustling?
A2)        Horse theft.   (I thought Saint Guinefort — the Church’s only sainted greyhound — was odd.   But no: there’s a patron saint of horse theft.)

Q3)        26th March, 1812, saw a cartoon in the Boston Gazette coin which term: gerrymander, Omnishambles or virtue signalling?
A3)        Gerrymander, or gerrymandering.

Q4)        Which War’s final offensive began on 26th March, 1939: the Sino-Japanese War’s, the War of 1812’s or the Spanish Civil War’s?
A4)        The Spanish Civil War’s.

Q5)        Finally … ?   Nancy Pelosi was born on 26th March, 1940.   Until January of this year, she was the Speaker of what: the House of Commons, the House of Lords, the House of Representatives or the Senate?
A5)        House of Representatives.
Here’s a thought …
“Great artists steal, they don't do homages.”
Quentin Tarantino.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

Right at the moment, Olga, anything would help!   I might just pop into Saint whatever it is’s to light a candle.   (We have a Catholic cathedral, believe it or not.   Although the website doesn’t say who it’s dedicated to.   Oh, now, hang on: Google tells me it’s Saints Mary and Helen.)
You sorted a problem with Word, without divine help?   I’ll say nothing!   :D   But it’s not an issue I get with Pages.   Pictures moving about, on the other hand …

In case you didn’t know, Debbi: he’s Greebo, Nanny Ogg’s familiar, and has a bad habit of turning into a human, when he’s stressed.   Oh, and he ‘always wanted to be ginger.’   Where David Tennant got the line, I don’t know.
I did mention Saint Sithney, didn’t I … ?   The patron saint of mad dogs?   Oh, and Saint Guinefort?   The greyhound?   There’s some odd ones!

I have lit candles for exams as well. Of course, I studied too, but it seemed to work, mostly. Not that I am very religious (not at all), but I like churches and cathedrals.
I hope the side-effects don't bother you too much.
