The Body Farm: Episode 2

Hmmm …

You know, I’ve got to confess, I’ve got episode 2 of The Body Farm on, at the moment.

On the dvd I used to tape it, last night, I should add.

And … ?

I’ve got to confess, I’m actually warming to it, somewhat, on the second viewing.

I’m personally thinking that’s bad.

Remember, I’m a science fiction fan.

So I usually prefer a slightly different type of tale.

One that usually doesn’t have’t work that hard to impress me: as Grub will probably tell you … !

But Episode 2 of The Body Farm?

Episode 2 sees the team dealing with the fact that they seem to have found a lost hand.

A lost hand belong to a body of a dead heroin addict found — buried in compost — on the estate of a wealthy — and eccentric — business.

Dodgy dealing’s all ’round, I think.

Hmmm …

Now …

I’m going to be frank, here, if I may.

I said, earlier, that I was warming to the episode, after watching it a second time … ?

I’m …

I’m not sure that that’s a good thing.

OK, granted I’m more a science fiction and fantasy fan: and one who thinks trying to vary his taste is a good thing.

But that first viewing, last night?

I’m not sure I could tell you WHY — although possibly it’s simply the show’s slow pace, and a few too many flashbacks for my comfort — but on it’s initial run through, I have to admit, I found myself losing interest, about half way through: vaguely thinking that the show’s producer’s could’ve maybe shaved a few minutes off.

Whether my attention’s held for longer, next week … ?

I’ll let you know.
