The Daily Teaser — 15-11-2012

Hmmm …

You know, I think I’m going to have to give Bruce a mild going over: or, at least a mild defraging.

Bless him, I’ve had him on, overnight: burning a DVD of photos of my nephew, Jude.

The net result … is Bruce is feeling a touch arthritic, this morning … !

I think I’ll get that done, once I’ve finished A Certain Post … !

Let’s get on to that, shall we … ?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi putting in her answers: along with mentioning a post she felt I should have a look at*, she also bagged 3 out of 5ª.

Let’s see how she — and you — do with today’s themed questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the ‘How To’, License and video …

Q1) 15th November, 2012 sees England and Wales elect Police Criminal Commissioners: except in London.   Who fills the role in London … ?
Q2) More to the point, name either of the police forces in London.
Q3) Which building has one of those two police forces announced it’s planning to sell … ?
Q4) Which government department has overall responsibility for the UK’s police … ?
Q5) And finally … what piece of police equipment was traditionally made from a mix of cork, felt and leather … ?
And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) 14th November, 1770, saw James Bruce discover what he thought was the source of the Nile.   In which country did he find it … ?
A1) Ethiopia.
Q2) More to the point, which tributary of the Nile had Bruce actually found the source of … ?
A2) The Blue Nile.
Q3) Equally to the point: in which Lake is the source of that river … ?
A3) Lake Tana.
Q4) The Blue Nile joins the main Nile River at which Egyptian town: Thebes, Cairo or Khartoum … ?
A4) Khartoum.
Q5) And finally … The Nile Delta drains the Nile River … into which sea … ?
A5) The Mediterranean.
Enjoy those, everyone: I’ll leave you with the theme tune from Dixon of Dock Green …

And these words of wisdom from an unnamed Met officer, talking to noted artist, Banksy …
“There’s no way you're going to get a quote from us to use on your book cover”
Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, talking to noted graffiti artist, Banksy
Hoping that video works … !

*        At least, I will do, Debbi: as soon as Bruce start’s speeding upº … !

º        Actually … I stand corrected: you may may like the comment … !  (And thanks for posting the song.   Don, Dave, Sweetpea, Harry and Don Ray have been doing their thing for years, now.   And are seriously underrated … !)

ª        Ah … ! I can TELL you’re drafting something for a Certain Lawyer of out mutual acquaintance … !
