He’s one of the recurring characters in Asimov’s I, Robot short story collection.
And, usually when he’d see someone screaming their heads off about dangerous robot technology — or killer robots — would be the first person muttering about “… that damn Frankenstein complex!”
He’s possibly not read this piece, yet.
I’m mildly conflicted.
The basic idea is that of trying slow down — or outright ban — autonomous weaponry.
Which sounds like a good idea.
Only it’s attached to that headline.
Which makes the BBC look like a panic inducing tabloid!
I think someone should say SOMETHING … !

* Actually, there’s possibly an explanation for doing well on Google, Olga. Everyone’s got an Android tablet. I have one myself. In my experience? I’ve noticed we tend to look at whatever shop’s easiest to get to: and Google tend to push theirs. (That’s why I used to shop in Brentwood’s branch of Somerfields: it was nearer than Sainsburys.)

I'm a bit different and like to go exploring, at least for big shopping trips (not that I do many of those these days) although if I have to go shopping for a thing or two I go to the local Tesco (they're also quite good for discounting items close to the sell-by date). So yes, I guess you're right about Google, although I also think might be more widespread than some of the other e-book sellers (I don't know how it does in African, India, and China, but Amazon have hardly any presence there).
I especially like the choice of image for the article about killer robots. ;) (And of course, your blog keeps asking me to prove that I'm not a robot. Perhaps it has read the article!)
