Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 10-4-2018: 100 Days.

10th April, 2018.

Yep: I officially had a long day, yesterday.

A lot of which?

Was spent at Basildon Hospital.

Having a CT scan, to check on my arterial function.

I’ll actually get the letter making the results appointment, some point soon.

The scan, itself … ?   Was quite an experience.

Certainly, the iodine dye mentioned in the videos was interesting.

You get a definite warm feeling.   Especially around the groin region.

Right now … ?

Right now, it’s something I’m grateful I’ve had.

I can start looking forward to seeing my health improve: although I realise this will take time.

Right now, thought?

I have to admit to having an early night, last night.

It was a long day …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 10th April is — in a non leap year — the 100th day of the year.   What is it, in a leap year?
Q2) What letter represents 100: in Roman numerals?
Q3) 100 is ten … what: squared, cubed or triangulated?
Q4) One hundred of something — metres, litres, pascals — is called what, in SI units?
Q5) Is 100 a prime number?
Q6) 100º Celsius is the boiling point of what: lead, water or sulphuric acid?
Q7) In the UK, 100 is the phone number for the operator.   If you phone 100 in Greece, India and Israel, who are you put through to?
Q8) Which Jewish festival are you marking, if you’ve blown the shofar, one hundred times?
Q9) If you score one hundred runs, you’ve scored a century: in which very English summer sport?
Q10) Finally … which American Founding Father is on the US 100 dollar bill?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) April 9th is a Danish film: set during which war?
A1) World War 2.
Q2) 9th April, 1969, saw six businessmen in Wolverhampton win their legal battle: to wear what, at work?
A2) Turbans: the business men concerned were all practising Sikhs.
Q3) 9th April, 2017, saw attacks take place in two Egyptian churches.   On what was then which day of Easter?
A3) Palm Sunday.
Q4) NASA announced it’s first seven astronauts: on 9th April, 1959.   Name any on of those seven astronauts.
A4) Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, John Glenn, Gus Grissom, Wally Schirra, Alan Shepard or Deke Slayton.
Q5) Finally … which plane saw its maiden flight: on 9th April, 1967?
A5) The Boeing 737.
Here’s a thought …
“If you owe the bank $100 that’s your problem. If you owe the bank $100 million, that's the bank's problem.”

J. Paul Getty.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Oh, blimey, I can remember setting up my landline, Olga‡: don’t even get me started on switching mobiles!   Sounds like you’ve got quite a weekend ahead.   And probably more than one!

†        That is is, Debbi‡: that’s before you see Winona Ryder’s Woody Allen routine.   I lost count of how many times she says “WHAT!?!?!?!   Are you crazy?”   On OTHER fronts … ?   I don’t think they quite got Dungeons and Dragons — in play — quite right: but every game group was different.   (And that’s before you look at other role playing games.)

‡        Sorry about the wandering font sizes, today: I’ve used Drag and Drop, rather than Copy and Paste, for some parts of the text
