It’s been a while since I’ve done all sorts of stuff.
Watched a movie …
Had a steak …
Had a romantic meal for two, in a fancy restaurant … !

Over the past few days, I’ve been making videos for the Daily Teasers …
And, frankly?
Not catching up with Series 2 of El Ministerio del Tiempo/The Ministry of Time is amazingly annoying … !

Episode 5 — Tiempo de magia/Time of magic — opens with Amelia (Aura Garrido) talking to her maid: whilst simultaneously using a planchette to communicate with the spirits of the dead.
Only for a spot of automatic writing to leaving the name Houdini …
Leaving Amelia, and her maid, scared stiff.
Back at base?
Back at base, Amelia, Alonso (Nacho Fresneda) and Pacino (Hugo Silva) are given their new mission.
It seems that one of the Ministry’s 1924 staff — Joaquín Argamasilla (Miki Esparbé) — has a genuine paranormal ability.
He’s got x-ray eyes.
And not only is he off to the USA, to prove himself to arch debunker, Harry Houdini (Gary Piquer*), but also … to confirm the existence of the Ministry to the Darrow corporation: the US company’s that’s been the Ministry’s for many an episode.
The only trouble, there … ?
Darrow Corp are being helped … by Lola Mendieta (Natalia Millán).
You’d think things couldn’t get any worse, could you … ?

Now, I must say, El Ministerio del Tiempo has done it again, with Tiempo de magia: knocked out another cracking little episode.
And, yet again: one mixing Spanish history — Houdini was a real world character, as was Joaquín Argamasilla — with a twisty little plot and equally twisty office politics — Susana Torres is out of office, and Salvador Martí back in.
All this … ?
And I have to say, I was pleased to hear Aura Garrido’s flawless English: even if she does sound like she’s aiming for an East End accent!
What can I say?
Bar “El Ministerio del Tiempo is a cracker!” … ?

* I don’t know if Piquer speaks Spanish: but he uses English for this episode, with an utterly flawless English accent. Turns out Mr Piquer’s from Glasgow …
