Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 12th February, 2019.

12th February, 2019.

You know, I WISH I’d taken a screen shot of that.

Amazon — or, at least, the third party sellers  I’d ordered a DVD from — were supposed to deliver a DVD to me, last night.

By eight PM.

It hasn’t turned up, yet.

All I get on the site … ?

Is this little announcement …

I’m … well … not surprised, frankly.

We’re just have to see when the thing turns up.

Or what happens when the seller reads his messages …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf*, Olga†, and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with all three scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) Pope Francis co-signed a Ecumenical Declaration on 12th February, 2016: with the Patriarch of Moscow.   Who was that Patriarch?
Q2) Two year old James Bulger was kidnapped and killed on 12th February, 1993.   Which film about the killing, has been Oscar nominated, this year?
Q3) The UK AEA was established on 12th February, 1954.   It’s the body that regulates the use of what in the UK?
Q4) 12th February, 1809, saw the birth of The 16th President of The USA.   Who was he … ?
Q5) Finally … ?   According to the UN, today is Red Hand Day.   In other words, the International Day against the Use of what?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 11th February, 2013, saw the Vatican confirm that whom would resign at the end of the month.
Q2) Amadeo 1st abdicated: on 11th February, 1873.   As king of where … ?
A2) Spain.
Q3) 13th February, 55AD, saw the death of Tiberius Claudius Caesar Britannicus.   Whose son was Britannicus?
Q4) 11th February, 1808, saw Jesse Fell start an experiment: to burn what on an open grate?
Q5) Finally … 11th February, 1932, saw the birth of the honourable Member of Parliament for Bolsover.   Who is he … ?
A5) Dennis Skinner, MP.
Here’s a thought …
“I think I’m a very poor piano player.”
Ray Manzarek, February 12, 1939 – May 20, 2013.
And a Doors tune: as Ray’s doing the keyboards …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        That’s OK, Badwolf: as it’s you!   (Oh, did you ever read those old Target books?   I’ve a couple on order.)

†        That’s not quite what I meant, Olga.   You’re right: there’s a ‘Link’ button you can use — on Blogger and Wordpress — when you’re writing a new post.   But there’s no link button in the ‘Comment’ box.   That’s when that bit of HTML comes in handy!   Now about those helipads … …

New Post
Commenting
‡        I certainly try, Debbi!   I didn’t know about the US version of Target, by the by.   Amazes me what I learn!   The book brand, on the other hand … ?   Well, the original edition of Dr Who and the Loch Ness Monster, the Target version of Terror of the Zygons, is what got a slightly geeky nine year old interested in reading.   (We had a book club, at school: where you could buy books, cheap.   I got The Hoboken Chicken Emergency from the same club!)

No never read The target book. Being honest I listen to more audio as struggle reading when it comes to novels. I've been told I may have form dyslexia. However, I will look up see if any are on audio

Q1) Patriarch Kirill
Q2) Detainment (Did you ever watch Boy A? Andrew Garfield did a fantastic job there).
Q3) Atomic Energy Authority
Q4) Abraham Lincoln
Q5) Child soldiers
Thanks. But it's weird. When anybody leaves a link on a wordpress comment, it simply appears as a link. But on Blogger, I don't see the comments on your blog when I check a post. I sometimes see a comment if somebody has left it, when I leave mine, but not on the page itself. Well, in general I'm not sure I understand Blogger, but it's what one is used to, I guess.
I hope the job situation improves soon....
