Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 21-8-2019: Latvia

21st August, 2019.

It has to be said: dreams are weird …

Or, at least, odd.

Or possibly just strangely timed.

I had one over night, in fact.

About getting fired.

Which is possibly understandable, given I’ve started a new job.

But the dream was actually about getting fired from the Brentwood branch of KFC.

Weirdly: by one of the few managers I actually got on with …

One thing I know the Today programme’s been doing?   Along side banging on about Brexit, and President Trump’s desire to buy Greenland?

Is recycling.

Basically?   They’ve spent most of the morning reminding us we’ve all got various bits of unused kit that need recycling.

I know I’ve got at least one phone that needs dealing with.

Frankly?

It’s good to remind us we have this stuff.

But, as a non-driver?

I wish there was a few more recycling point for e-waste, around.

Ones I can walk to!

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf* and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Debbi on nine out of ten, and Anne on seven.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q2) The declaration  was in which year: 1918, 1990 or 1991?

Here’s a thought …
“Latvia together with its two neighbours ― Estonia and Lithuania ― are referred to as the Baltic tiger,”
Peteris Vaivars, Latvian ambassador to South Korea.

And a traditional Latvian folk song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        I’ve just put that on my iTunes Wishlist, Anne: that looks interesting.   Oh, and it’s directed by  Oliver Stone‡, as well.   (He directed JFK, and Born on the Fourth of July.)

†        Hmmm … What’s another one added to my Wishlist, Debbi!   Which is getting bigger … !   (You know, I did a baseball one for the Gazette a few years ago: that’s never been reused … )

‡        I like how Wikipedia describes Stone: as actor, writer, director … and conspiracy theorist …
