Spider Man: Homecoming — A Review

14th August, 2019.

Right … it’s officially the thing.

I start work at my new job on Friday: at a unnervingly early time.

Early enough … that an early night, tomorrow, is a good thing.

No … REALLY good … !

So, tonight, with various bits done?

I felt catching a movie was a good thing.

Yep.

I fancied Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Although — obviously — not in a biblical sense!

Spider-Man: Homecoming follows events of 2012 film, Avengers: Assemble.

Seeing a salvage company run by Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) taking off its rewarding line of work by a newly created government department.

Eight years later … ?

Eight years later, we find Tony Start — Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr) — drafting Spider-Man — Peter Parker (Tom Holland) — into the Avengers …

But setting the youngster loose: as Iron Man feels Spider needs a little maturing.

It’s only then … ?

That Peter Parker decides to banish boredom … by donning the suit …

Now … right now, I’ll admit to tiredness, eyestrain, and all sorts of stuff!

But?

I’ve just seen an enjoyable film: one that — thankfully — didn’t need too much knowledge of other Marvel movies.

Frankly … ?

Spider Man: Homecoming: is light and frothy.

But does leave me curious enough to want to look at any follow-ups.

We’ll see.
