Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 11th January 2020.

11th January, 2020.

Yes: I finally got to a NHS run weight management class, yesterday.

In the afternoon.

And now have a pile of assorted bits to go with it: including a food diary.

As well as a suggestion I get checked for Diabetes.

Hmmm …

Double checking stuff with my GP could be an idea … as I need a set of blood tests done, anyway …

Does any one remember Anne Sacoolas?   The US diplomat’s wife who ran over and killed biker, Harry Dunn, last August?   And who then fled the country, claiming diplomatic immunity?

The UK government made an official representative request: in December.

From what I can gather, the matter is now in the hands of the US government.

Who’ve described the request as ‘an abuse.’

Personally?

I get the feeling This is going to drag.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Ha!   Rain!   Thankfully, we’ve not seen rain for a few days, Olga.   Given the temperature?   I’m grateful.   Between the meeting at the Job Centre and the weight loss class, I was chilly.   Here’s hoping we get better weather!   Oh … IMDb’s got this season outline up, for El Ministerio del Tiempo.   Hopefully we won’t have much longer to wait.

†        I’m afraid not, Debbi!   Making videos don’t half chew up time!   Oh … There’s a few more Short Treks doing the rounds … (The chap that plays Spock, in Star Trek Discovery?   Is Ethan Peck: Gregory’s grandson.   You see the resemblance, you really can!)

Yes, it's looking hopeful. I've checked and there is no recent update on RTVE, although the last one, from the end of November, mentions that in one episode there will appear a young Philip II and another will be set in Madrid in the 1980s during the filming of one of Almodovar's movies (Laberinto de Pasiones). It also mentions that they have talked about a big surprise but they don't know what it is. (They suggest that perhaps Julian didn't really die, but they don't mention any source for it, so...it might be totally wrong). Checking diabetes is always worth doing, and I'm sure they will if you have regular blood tests. Mind you, a few years back one of my uncles had a big surprise because he went for a regular blood test and he was called urgently because his blood sugar was very high. He takes some medication now and is very well controlled (and lost a fair bit of weight as well). But there is a family history of the illness on my father's side. Type II, though. Have a good weekend (and it's sunny today, although the temperature has dropped).
