It’s going to be hot.   Or uncomfortable, as I like to think of it.

I can only hope it does rain on Wednesday: we’re going to need it!

So that means I’m going to be thumb twiddling.

I’ll be job hunting, of course.

*        I think we’re getting similar arguments about schools, Olga.   From the little I’m seeing?   Many teachers — or teachers unions, there’s Pournelle’s bureaucracy law, again! — are objecting: as they feel it’s still unsafe.   On top of that … ?   There’s arguments for and against closing pubs: to balance the effects of opening schools.

I’ll have to keep my eye peeled for that one, Olga.   I do know my copy of The Science of Discworld 4: Judgement Day has turned up!   Oh … it turns out the author of The Magic of Terry Pratchett, Marc Burrows, is a member of The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing … I THINK I’ve used their song about Cthulhu, somewhere … !

†        It’s what got me reading the book, Debbi!   And, yes: I know the mob was deepening involved with Vegas.   I think one or two of the big casinos were funded by serious mobsters: why is the name Micky Cohen trying to grab my attention, here?   Especially when Wikipedia is telling me about Meyer Lansky and Bugsy Siegel?!

Now was that the Life of Christ clip?   That was straight out of Not the Nine O’clock News.   The chap with the hair was Mel Smith, and the female interviewer was Dr Pamela Stephenson, Mrs Billy Connolly.   The only member of the team it missed out was Griff Rhys Jones, who crops up, here …
