Granted, a chunk of that’s gone: Christmas, and some new bits and bobs, are on order.

A3)        Hanging.   (Hereditary peers and freemen of the city of London were supposed to be hanged with a silk rope.)

A5)        1998.   The last functional gallows in the UK were in HMP Wandsworth: and dismantled in 1994.   Within the lives of most of us reading this …

        Yeah: I think if push comes to shove, I’m going to have to phone the pharmacy concerned: and see what they tell me!   And phone my regular chemists: there’s a chance I qualify for more free COVID tests.

        I’m feeling a touch better, to be honest.   Getting a lot of cash probably helped!
