Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 18th November 2024

18th October, 2024.

Right … I’m having a bad morning!

I’ve set up an new, larger external drive, transferred everything over …

And, of course, my iTunes library is now a mess!

It’s a lot harder to organise than my Photos, and iMovie, libraries!

Arrrggghhh!

I hate messy iTunes libraries!

It doesn’t help that I forgot this happens … … specifically when you change external drives*¶!

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga†, Mum‡ and Debbi§ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

“It’s like a train pulls up to your door, and either you get on it or you let it go by. And I just always got on the train.”
Pam Dawber, born October 18, 1951.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        When I got the new Mac mini set up, last year, setting up the library for iTunes — or the Music.app, as it now is — was easy.   I just had to point it at the relevant part of the old drive.   However — as I know from setting up the old iMac, and transporting things from my old MacPro — changing from one drive to another changes things!   Or makes a mess of it: you tell me!

That’s, what, about ten pounds, Olga: is that right?   That sounds FAR more reasonable than the UK’s passport prices!

        Hello, Mum!

§        Moderation’s always good, Debbi.   (Says the man who had a kebab, last night.   I have an excuse: Maria and Connie — at the local chip shop — are very welcoming!)

¶        I’ve managed to find Hazel O’Connor’s “D-Days”.   Her performance of it, on Top of the Pops … ?   Was bonkers!

Yes, you're right about the ID price. And I remember you had mentioned similar issues with the hard drives before... I hope it doesn't take you too long to get it all as you like it. Finding a system that works can take a long time and it's distressing when all that work is gone for no good reason.
