Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 30-10-2024 — Mischief Night.

30th October, 2024: Mischief Night.

Right … It’s official: my nephew was over, yesterday.

And made another video … !

Feel free to head for YouTube, and press ‘Like’.

He’d appreciate it!

I’m a Mac fan: you knew that.

So … ?

Been keeping an eye on the various product announcements Apple have made over the past couple of days.

Monday’s announcement about new models of iMac was … slightly disappointing: powerful as these new models seem, the number of ports seems minimal.

And the highest end version’s lack of an M4 Pro chip seems like a wasted opportunity.

That’s more than countered, I feel: with Apple’s announcement of new models of Mac mini.

Complete with plenty of ports, boosted minimum RAM, and — in the three higher models — increased solid-state drives.

The most expensive model … ?

Comes with an M4 Pro chip … and three Thunderbolt Five ports: a step up from the Thunderbolt Four ports in the other models.

They look a lot like baby Mac Studios … and frankly?

Very worth-while: especially given the price!

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        According to Wikipedia, 30th October is Mischief Night.   In the USA, the UK, Canada … and where: Ireland, Iran or Iraq?

Here’s a thought …
“Mischief Night is an informal holiday on which children, teenagers and adults engage in jokes, pranks, vandalism, or parties.”
From the Wikipedia entry on Mischief Night.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        As I recall, Olga … ?   There was a film about the Lindy Chamberlain case: with Meryl Streep: it’s possibly something to book mark for later!
I’ll try and remember to ask my GP … !

        Hello, Mum!

From Seinfeld, Debbi?   That case got everywhere!
