The Daily Teaser — 15-7-2012

Now, I’ve got to admit, THAT’S just silly … !

Did I tell you I’ve managed to get myself prescribed a pair of reading glasses?   Along with a pair of distance ones … ?

Well, I have: and at the time I had my eye test — Mac fan that I am, it’s hard to not write that as an ‘iTest’ — I was told I’d get a phone call — with in a week to ten days — to let me know when they were ready.

I got the call, last night.

And, when I asked, I got told I could pick them up, that day: so long as I picked them up, ‘before 5’.

I looked at the clock as soon as I put the phone down.

Going by Bruce’s on-board clock, it was 16:54.

I was at home, at the time.

My optician’s … ?   Is twenty minutes walk away.

There’s possibly a book about this sort of thing … … … …
