Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 4-9-2016

Right: I have to confess, I’m feeling a little rushed: after a very bad night at work.

It’s not completely a job-loss bad night at work.

But?

Frankly, it’s one of those nights you don’t want to have, too often.

I think I’ll find out more after today’s staff meeting.

~≈†≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Before I say anything incriminating!

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: scoring five out of five in the process.   The day ALSO saw Olga† looking in: leaving us a comment on the day before’s Teaser, to let us know what’s happening for her.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s Teaser, shall we?   Here it is, along with the How To, Creative Commons License and video

Q1) Native American leader, Geronimo, surrendered to US forces: on 4th September of which year?
Q2) More to the point, he was a leader of which tribal peoples: the Lakota, Apache or Cree?
Q3) 4th September, 1985, saw footage released: of which ship-wreck?
Q4) Salvador Allende was elected as president: on 4th September, 1970.   Of where?
Q5) Who — on 4th September, 1972 — became the first competitor to win seven gold medals at one Olympic games?
Q6) Finally … Romulus Augustulus was deposed: on 4th September, 476.   He’s generally agreed to be the last Emperor of where: Russia, Byzantium, or the Western Roman Empire?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) 3rd September saw the founding of which online retailers: Ebay, Amazon or Alibaba?
A1) Ebay.
Q2) In which year?
A2) 1995.
Q3) The site was originally called what: Action Web, Auction Web or Retail Web?
A3) Auction Web.
Q4) The company was founded in which US state?
Q5) Finally … Which country went on sale on the site: in October of 2008?
A5) Iceland.   (Apparently, Björk wasn’t included …)
I’ll leave you with this thought …
“Who I am on stage is very, very different to who I am in real life.”

Beyoncé, born 4th August, 1981.
And this tune …

Have a good day!

*        I’m going to have to sit down with some Aldiss, Debbi, I really am!

†        Sounds like you’ve got a BUSY weekend, Olga: here’s hoping it goes well for you!

Friday was rough for me at work too. The silver lining was having a 3 day weekend. Other then getting a sunburn, it's been great so far. Yea you got to be careful what you say online. You never know who will read it. ;)

Thanks, Paul. Managed to go over what I had to before I went to the wedding (although I want to go over it once again before I send it out), but I suspect after the meeting next Tuesday there will be more work to make the required changes. (Well, they pay me per hour, so I guess that's OK, but still I'd much rather have the work spread out rather than rush around and have to leave everything else on hold).
Sorry to hear you had a bad day yesterday. The ceremony of renewal of vows was beautiful although it started later than programmed (and yes, I didn't sleep that much).
Still, here are the answers...
Q1) 1886
Q2) Apache
Q3) The Titanic
Q4) Chile
Q5) Mark Spitz
Q6) Western Roman Empire

Be well! I'll keep in touch as much as I can. ♥
