House of Cards — Series 5: Episodes 3 & 4 — Chapters 55 & 56.

4th October, 2017

Hmmm … I have to admit, I’m …

Undecided …

Yes: undecided seems to be the phrase.

Frankly?

Going on the trailers, Wonder Woman, with Gal Gadot in the title role?

Looks good.

Although it’s not available to rent on iTunes, just yet.

And, at £13·99 to buy?   Seems a little too expensive.

There’s always another time.

Tonight?

Well, to hell with it: a man has to watch something with Robin Wright in it.

That … ?

Means more of series five of House of Card …

Episode 3Chapter 55 — shows us the 24 hours leading up to the 2016 Presidential election.   Governor Conway?   Governor Conway (Joel Kinnamon) is spending the last day of the campaign, holding a 24 hour Skype-a-thon: allowing all and any voter who wants to ask him one — one — question.

And allowing everyone to watch it vie the ’Net.

Including President Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) who’s determined to grab headlines on the big day.

Episode 4Chapter 56 — is the Day, Itself.

With the polls prediction a low turnout — one favouring Conway — Frank is desperate: until, between them, he, Claire (Robin Wright), Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) and LeAnn Harvey (Neve Campbell) put their plans into motion.

Those oh so not-vulnerable-to-terrorists, centralised voting stations …

OK, now …

Is House of Cards still looking good?

Granted, the flashback — or possible flash forward — scene, of Claire calling Doug and LeAnn into the Oval office through me.

But, then, if I didn’t want to concentrate?

I’d not be watching …
