Right … it’s official.
England, as a nation, and region of The UK?
Is now in lockdown: again.
With slightly less strict rules than the original lockdown in March.
Speaking personally?
I know it’s for the public good.
I know that.
But? Frankly, it’s very frustrating to not get about as one does under normal circumstances.
For starters? Getting a haircut’s going to be out of the question: as hairdressers and barbers cannot open*.
Getting out and about … ?
Meeting friends … ?
It’s …
Well …
Frustrating …
~≈🙁≈~
By now?
You’ll possibly have realised that Sean Connery — the original James Bond — died yesterday: at th age of ninety.
That’s sad to hear.
There’s always going to be arguments about who the best James Bond actor was.
But … ?
He was the first to play the part: at least more than once.
That’s going to be hard to ignore.
Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga†, Mum‡, Debbi^ and Edithª putting in their answers.

And a song about him …

* Hairdresser are non-essential. Elite sports, on the other hand, are to carry on. A bunch of bloody footballers get to act like divas: at way too much money a week. You and me, can’t get a haircut!
† You know, I think that’s a good move, Olga: fast forwarding to 2022! I’d be able to get a haircut, I know that! The new lockdown finishes some time after payday! 2020 has been one of those years … ! (Would you like to swap Boris for Pedro Sánchez? It can’t make things any worse.)
‡ Hello, Mum!
^ Oh, yes! It’s so cheesy, Debbi, that Dr Emmenthal Gorgonzola, Harvard’s Emeritus Professor of Dairy Products said “Gosh, that’s cheesy!”
ª Morning, Edith! How’s the day looking? (I was tempted to let you have ancestors: but couldn’t find a reference for the translation!)

Q2) A thermonuclear bomb
Q3) he European Union
Q4) Lancashire (The Lowry Centre, in Salford, is well-worth a visit. It was quite close to the place where I lived in the outskirts of Manchester, just opposite the Imperial War Museum North (also well-worth a visit).
Q5) The Sisters of Mercy
By the way, I wrote All Hallow Evening (changed it from all Hallows Eve) because the article on Wikipedia said this: Halloween
Halloween or Hallowe'en (a contraction of "All Hallows' evening"),[5] also known as Allhalloween,[6] All Hallows' Eve,[7] or All Saints' Eve,[8] is a celebration observed in many countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. It begins the observance of Allhallowtide,[9] the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed.[10][11]
And this is the actual quote from number 5: Thomson, Thomas; Annandale, Charles (1896). A History of the Scottish People from the Earliest Times: From the Union of the kingdoms, 1706, to the present time. Blackie. Retrieved 31 October 2011. Of the stated rustic festivals peculiar to Scotland the most important was Hallowe'en, a contraction for All-hallow Evening, or the evening of All-Saints Day, the annual return of which was a season for joy and festivity.
I’d say probably both should be OK, but it’s your call.
Here hairdressers are open, although need to book in advance. It’s dispiriting, because we don’t seem to have made any advances. But it is likely that there will have to be periodic lockdowns until the thing gets under control (if it does).
