Mid you — and I’ve said this before — Vice President Mike Pence sounds more presidential than Donald Trump: and, if I’ve understood things correctly, Pence is slightly to the right of General Franco!
At ANY rate: the next meeting’s this afternoon … so I’m looking forward to it.

‡ From what I’ve seen on the BBC’s news site, Debbi? Twitter have hidden several of Donald’s Tweets: on the grounds he’s handing out misleading information about the elections, AND on Covid-19: at least that’s going by this piece. According to the same piece, Facebook and Instagram are showing US users warnings: reminding you that the count’s not over, amongst other things. Biden’s not got too many, Trump has a few!
^ If it’s any help, Edith? The BBC’s news site tell us that Joe Biden’s ahead on electoral college votes. That should help! (It strikes me using the UK’s First Past the Post election system could make US elections quicker: it does have it’s flaws, but … … )

Oh, I know about planned obsolescence and watched a TV programme about it. My mother prefers top-loading washing machines, because there is little space for the machine outside, and I have long suspected that they have more problems than standard ones. We suspect the drum might have opened during the cycle because we can't open it. It must be a fault with it, but it has hijacked the clothes, and I have no idea how they will be after spending so much time inside. And we haven't heard from them yet, so we have no idea when they might turn up.
The American election results might prove a long-drawn affair, as Trump was already making noises about the Supreme Court, recounting and all kinds of nonsense. A circus, as usual. If you choose a monkey/clown, I guess that's what's to be expected. Although I'm being unfair to monkeys and clowns.
The lockdown... I think we're all expecting it might end up going that way here. Not far off from it already and we never let off the restrictions totally, so...

Is there a lock down? I saw more cars than normal on Hanging Hill Lane when I went for my paper and other vital supplies this morning. May have been the molly-coddled teenagers being taken to St. Martin’s school because it was misty and cold.
