Q7)Connecticut resident, Tommy Dorsey, recorded a version of Stardust in 1940. Who was the singer on that version of the song: Artie Shaw, Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald?
The quizmaster’s decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Cheers, Olga, I think I’ve managed to correct the question! And I’m keeping my fingers crossed on the neighbours front. We’ve had all sorts … ! (The original tenant of number six was a handful!)
† Hello, Mum!
‡ The Battle of the Frogs surprised me, Debbi. It amazes me what you find out! (Have you got the phone number for Quizzes Anonymous … ?)
Q5) Son of a Preacher Man I hope the weather is better for your excursion today, Paul. Here it looks pretty cloudy at the moment. I have a bit of a journey to get to my new students, but at least most of it is on the underground (I went exploring a couple of days ago to make sure I'd know where I was going, and it isn't far from the subway station, once you know which direction you must go. Not a place I'd ever visited before, but one never knows. As to your question about Twin Peaks, I think it would take several years of psychoanalysis to work out why anything happened in that series. Mind you, I loved it, and most of the music in it as well.
I love it when people comment. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively adult. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
If you can also leave you comments on today’s Teaser Video, that would be good.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable: as are Bluesky or Mastodon links. I also like seeing folks webpages.
