Oh, the rent increase has gone through, so you know: the new service charges are frightening*!

I’m not, at the moment.

I’m up early, so I can get to my weight management class: that’s open for just a few short hours.

I’m looking forward to it.

But won’t know how it’s gone, until I get back.

We’ll have to see, won’t we?

*        The total rent has gone up from £484.55 a month to £675.44 per month: £194 of the latter figure is the service charge, compared to £35 of the previous total.   It’s roughly £160 more.   What are Clarion spending it on … ?   It’s not going on the buildings!

†        I will, Olga.   And Tesco are right, it does.   Why no-one mentioned that to my landlords, I don’t know.   (The actual rent increase isn’t much.   It’s the service charge that’s the killer, this year!)
