26th April, 2023.
Hmmm …
It’s Wednesday: and possibly the day to do stuff.
Possibilities included doing some paperwork at Brentwood Library … and possibly shopping.
Oh, and definitely putting some money on the gas and electric: my cost of living payment’s gone through.
That helps!
~≈£≈~
Talking of money … ?
Which we weren’t, but there you go.
Talking of money, I’ve had to use food banks, in the past: there’s a couple in Brentwood, and, according to a news report, today … ?
A record number of people have been using them.
Additionally?
The Trussell Trust, the charity that runs many of them, has called on the Government to increase rates of Universal Credit: in line with ‘essential costs’.
Good for them.
But?

Oh, I may — or may not — have mentioned the road works going on in my street.
I now have a better idea of what’s going on.
It looks like extra cabinets for internet connections.
According to the gossip? Boxes for Virgin Media.
I can only hope those of us who use BT’s network to access the ’Net can get some traffic routed through them.
Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here’s a thought …
“The ‘Carry Ons’ never stopped being popular, they were an institution.”Jack Douglas, 26 April 1927 – 18 December 2008.
And a song …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Well … it was a helpful start, Olga. The cost of living payment turning up will be equally helpful: although it’ll be gone in five minutes!
I’d imagine it would, Olga: and ‘Rock ’n’ Roll Psychology’ could make a good name for a concept album. And I’d imagine any one in the business would have AA on speed dial: the industry does have a reputation.
† Hello, Mum!
‡ I thought that question might sound familiar, Debbi! :D

This morning I opened a charity appeal on Facebook for my Birthday. The charity is Cancer research in memory of a friend I lost to cancer over in Canada a few years ago. Because of the economic times I have appealed for £1 for each year of my age. I reach 75 on May 16 and I have appealed for £75.
Please think about supporting my appeal if you can.
Thanks in advance.
Happy Birthday, Trevor, for when it comes.
I’ve got To save my extra money for my utilities, I’m afraid: but have hit The share button: I hope that helps.
