25th February, 2026.
Boy … but that introduction video is very … ahh … umm …
Yes: umm seems to be the way to put it.
I’ve used Final Cut Pro, Apple’s rentable, professional video editing suite, to make it.
Which is possibly like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
I’m very aware I’m still learning my way around the app: so … ?
Sledgehammery nut crack is going to be inevitable!
Hey … ho … !

I have an anonymous benefactor!
I had a letter, yesterday: one I think was prompted by the recent Lunar New Year.
One that consisted of an envelope with three lucky Chinese coins, tied together with the traditional red string.
I have no idea who sent it, as:
- I didn’t recognise the handwriting,
- There was no accompanying letter.
But whoever they — whoever you — are … ?
Thank you very much: the thought’s appreciated!
Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.
The day also saw Olga‡ leaving us a message.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
Q1) Henry Kelly died on 25th February, 2025. He’d found fame as a co-presenter of which ITV show: Saturday Live, Game for a Laugh or Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway?Q2) Film producer, Harve Bennett, died on 25th February, 2015. He co-wrote, and co-produced, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan: which was released in which year of the 1980s?Q3) 25th February is the National Day of Kuwait. The country’s coast is part of what: the Panay Gulf, the Persian Gulf or the Gulf of Mexico?Q4) Britain’s first Anderson Shelter was built on 25th February, 1939: in a garden in Islington. The Anderson Shelter was a type of what: air raid shelter, bus stop or garden shed?Q5) Finally … ? Infanta Blanca was born on 25th February, 1259. She was an Infanta — a Princess — of where: Spain, Portugal or France?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) 24th February, 1809, saw the UK capture where: Martinique, the Canaries or Belle de Jour?A1) Martinique.Q2) More to the point: the UK captured the island from whom: Spain, France or Portugal?A2) France.Q3) 24th February, 1916, saw the Governor General of Korea open a clinic for sufferers of Hansen’s Disease. Hansen’s Disease is better known how: AIDS, leprosy or schizophrenia?A3) Leprosy.Q4) 24th February is National Artist Day. Where: Japan, Thailand or China?A4) Thailand.Q5) Finally … ? The Labour Party won a slim majority: in an election held on 24th February, 1950. Who became Prime Minister as a result?
Here’s a thought …
“They can’t be older — they would be dead.”Zeppo Marx (February 25, 1901 – November 30, 1979), speaking in an interview for the Freedonia Gazette.
And a Kana Hanazawa song …
The next three ten-question sets are on the 27th and 28th of February, and 1st of March: they’re about Pokémon, Andalusia and Nebraska.
Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’s Teaser.
AI is avoided when writing these questions.
Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hello, Mum! It was Thailand, Mum, rather than Japan.
† I’m glad to have lost it, Debbi. And it’s not often I say that.
‡ I’m glad I lost it, Olga: I was up a kilo, the week before! (Make sure you put your feet up, if possible!)

I've had a big surprise this morning. I went shopping and when I got back I realised my friend Iman (the Egyptian nurse I met in Eastbourne who now lives in Paris, and whose daughter is my goddaughter) had sent me a message. It seems the whole family have decided to come to Barcelona for a city break, and they're getting here later today, so I'm trying to finish doing a few things before they get here. They got accommodation elsewhere (we don't have space at my mother's for the three), but I think it will be busy. I thought I'd let you know so you don't worry if I don't appear. They're going back on Sunday, and I had already arrranged to cover a news item on Sunday morning, but we'll have to play it by ear, as I don't know the details of their trip.
Take care and I'll catch up when I can.
