Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 11-7-2017

Right …

I’ve time off.

Something I know isn’t going to do my finances any good.

But does mean I have time off: to write, do some laundry …

And possibly help an old friend with an old computer.

That fact I’ve got I’m Sorry, I Haven’t A Clue on?

Is par for the course.

If you get the chance?

Give it a listen … !

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: scoring five out of five in the process.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) The Hollywood Bowl officially opened: on 11th July of which year of the 1920s?
Q2) 11th July, 1960, saw the birth of actress, Caroline Quentin.   In which TV series does she play Dorothy?

Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) Fred Gwynne was born: on 10th July, 1926.   Which character did he play in The Munsters?

A3) William ‘Willie’ Whitelaw.   (Margaret Thatcher famously said “Every prime minister needs a Willie.”   Has any one mentioned that to Theresa May … ?)
Q4) Who succeeded  to the throne of England: on 10th July, 1553?
A4) The Nine Day Queen, herself: Lady Jane Grey.
Q5) Finally … The Vichy government was formally established: on 10th July, 1940.   The government was a Nazi puppet state that controlled parts of where?
A5) France.
Here’s a song …

And a thought …
“I know a lot of people think I’m dumb. Well, at least I ain’t no educated fool.”
Leon Spinks, July 11, 1953.
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.
