At any rate … it’s a Sunday off … that means we get to visit my aunty Bella, down in Kent: which got cancelled, last week, because of the weather.

It ALSO gives me a chance to drop off some presents with Grandma, before a certain young man realises Santa is Grandma shaped!

*        I’ll have to have a look at that, Olga: although I possibly wouldn’t notice how much tea’s getting drunk.   Cultural norms‡, and all that!   I do know Penistone’s not the only town with a zombie movie.   Yep: Welcome to Essex was filmed in Brentwood.   I don’t know what clogged up the High Street, more, them: or The Only Way Is Essex!   (It’s not been released, yet, as far as I can see …)

†        Or how the Italians feel about Pizza, Debbi.   I used to work in Brentwood’s original Pizza Hut, many years ago.   And came away with the impression that any one from Naples would … well, wouldn’t call the Deep Pan pizza, a pizza!

‡        One thing I noticed in the US version of House of Cards?   Is that the main characters — at least, while they’re in the White House — seem to drink tea.   Rather than coffee!   Bloody odd: I know Debbi and Rick both hit the espresso!

^        I’ve never actually seen the thing.   Which is possibly a lose for me.   The series is considered one of the British series, with a performance from Hill — especially in the final episode — that’s considered outstanding …
