Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 1-1-2019: Annus Novus

1st January, 2019.

You can just picture it, now, can’t you … ?

It’s now, officially, 2019: and I’m dancing around my front room, in an over-excitable way.

Actually, no, scrub that …

It’s not an especially pretty site!

At any rate?

It’s now 2019: Happy New Year to you … !

~≈§≈~

In amongst all that … ?

I’ve got the BBC’s Tech Tent Quiz of the Year, at the moment: fascinating listen, I should add.

It’s nice to know they … um … beat me to a question with yesterday’s Review of The Year quiz.

The one about the Spectre and Meltdown security holes.

Hopefully?

That’s a flaw that will get fixed: soon.

Personally?

I think we’ll see more flaws like them.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf* and Olga† putting in their answers: with Olga scoring eleven out of twelve, and Badwolf on ten.

And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a very happy new year.

*        Happy New Year, @Badwolf: hope the questions are challenging …

†        Yeah, I knew it was a group of agents, Olga: I wanted to go for a fairly easy version of the answer.   I think I was the same about Netta winning: it was those chicken impressions!   I felt the same about Lordy, as well.   I saw them on the contest, on the night: and though “They’ll do well!”.   The one song I thought had it in the bag was the French entry in ’91.   It lost out in a tie break!   They were had!   (And you’re right, the ’Net’s getting bigger.   It’s accessible on phones!)
