Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 4-1-2019: Phil Lynott

4th January, 2019.

Yep: like it says in the video, I’ve got an earworm going through my head.

And it’s not one by Ireland’s best known dead rock star.

It’s an obscure piece of Canadian synth pop, called Living on Video.

And it has to be said that — in the video — the lead singer looks EVER so concerned …

As opposed to the backing singer: who’s bored out of her skull and wondering when she can stop dancing … !

Oh …

And I’ve possibly got an interview …

What do I mean, possibly?

I know I have an interview!

All I have to do now, is make sure I can get the funding for the ticket.

And … ?

And a haircut, if possible.

I’m getting a bit … you know …

Shaggy!

Now … is it LYE nott, or LYN not?

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf* putting in her answers: scoring five out of five in the process.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 4th January saw the death of Irish rock star, Phil Lynott.   In which year?
Q2) His death was blamed, by some, on his addiction to what: cocaine, LSD or Heroin?
Q3) What type of Guitar did Phil play: lead, rhythm or bass?
Q4) Phil was frontman for which rather slim Irish band?
Q5) Finally … ?   He played — or more accurately sang — the role of Parson Nathaniel.   On which Jeff Wayne album?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 3rd January, 1977, saw the incorporation of Apple Computers.   What — at the time — was the only computer it sold?
A1) The Apple 1.   (It wasn’t that long before they started selling the Apple 2: the 2 was the company’s mainstay for years.)
Q2) 3rd January, 2018, saw analysts inform people of the Meltdown and Spectre virus.   What did they affect: graphics cards, microprocessors or RAM?
Q3) 3rd January, 106 BC, saw the birth of which Roman orator?
A3) Cicero.
Q4) The 49th State of the Union was admitted: on 3rd January, 1959.   Which state was it?
A4) Alaska.
Q5) Finally?   3rd January, 1521, saw the Pope excommunicate whom: Fidel Castro or Martin Luther?
A5) Martin Luther.   (Fidel was excommunicated on 3rd January, 1962).
Here’s a thought …
“If you’ve got nothing but a sense of humour, you’ll survive.”
Phil Lynott.
And a playlist …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Actually, @Badwolf?   The Apple 1 was a complete computer: and not just the motherboard.   All the user had to provide was a case, and a TV.   (Give me a second, I’ll get my head out of my bum! :D )
