29th January, 2019.
Right, I’ve officially spoken to Apple Support and put a complaint in.
About — yes, you’ve guessed it — the situation with
iMovie
.
Remember that, over the past few days? My copy has been … misbehaving since updates installed last Thursday.
I do have a work-around that gets it functioning for me: today’s intro was made after using it.
I have to hold down Command (⌘) and Option (⌥) whilst starting
iMovie
: which deletes the preferences.
I’m going to have to see how that goes.
I’m not happy about it: and may have to give Apple support another call.
We’ll have to see.

Just to make things a little worse for Apple?
It seems using FaceTime on your iPhone … is a security issue.
As there’s a possibility that you can be eavesdropped on, whilst using the feature … or even NOT using the feature …
As far as I’m concerned … ?
The company’s having a bad week …

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Badwolf†, Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with all three scoring five out of five.

And a video …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Have a good day.
* You know, Olga, it’s not that often I check Rotten Tomatoes. IMDb and Wikipedia, on the other hand … (The Wikipedia entries seem to have good summaries of the various critic sites.)
† Morning, @Badwolf. Looks like Mongrels is on iTunes, if that’s any help …
‡ That you did, Debbi. Although I’m getting the feeling this is going to take a LONG time … !

Q1) 1845
Q2) It was first published in the Evening Mirror, a newspaper, on the 29th of January, although it seems a magazine, The American Review had bought it first but didn’t publish it until February.
Q3) A student
Q4) Lenore
Q5) “Nevermore”
I do like rotten tomatoes, because it contrasts the critics with the general public view. And after a while, if you get familiar with the sites they quote, you know which opinions you're more atuned to.
I hope the iMovie thing is sorted soon, although you know I think Apple's priorities aren't always those of their customers (and, of course, they aren't the only ones).
By the way, I saw this today and thought you might be interested:
