Q5)Finally … ? George Washington was sworn in as president: on 30th April, 1789. The swearing in was in Federal Hall: on which New York street was Federal Hall?
* Morning, Badwolf: I just wanted to make sure you knew how you did. The ACTUAL score was here. Oh, your eldest’s a David Tennant fan, you say? This might appeal, when it hits at the end or the month …
† I think I know the interview you mean, Olga. If it’s the one I’m thinking of … it was a huge great meltdown! As the job centre DIDN’T put the whole ticket fare in my account! We both got the wrong price! The various ticket sites put the correct one … right at the bottom of the respective pages! You can imagine how I felt. As for stomach upsets? It sounds there’s a couple of tough women, there! (Oh, I’ve caught the Good Omens opening sequence. That El Ministerio-style animation’s getting popular!)
‡ It was rather good, Debbi: spot on, as ever! About the only issue? That version of EMI doesn’t play, over here! I think it’s one that’s just licensed for the US, rather than internationally. I hate that when that happens!
Q1) Bulgaria Q2) Lei Day Q3) Beltane Q4) Maypole Q5) Queen It sounds like a hard day all around. I hope it all works out for the best. Take care. (Yes, it was the interview you were trying to sort the travel expenses for).
I love it when people comment. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively adult. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
If you can also leave you comments on today’s Teaser Video, that would be good.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable: as are Bluesky or Mastodon links. I also like seeing folks webpages.
