Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 27th July, 2019

27th July, 2019.

Ladies and gentlemen?

We have rain!

And, frankly?   I couldn’t be happier.

After all?   It does break the heatwave we’ve been having.

~≈§≈~

Right …

Are you using a Mac?

Running macOS Mojave?

In that case, you, as I, are facing the fact there’s an update to the operating system is now available.

I’ll be putting that through, later.

But I have to ask … am I the only person who worries about these things?

~≈§≈~

Oh, just as one LAST point?

Apparently, President Trump has announced that he’s working on a good trade deal with Boris Johnson.

Hmm …

I really don’t like the President.

I don’t.

I also think this: his basic policy, of putting America first?   Means any trade deal he’s looking to make will favour the USA.

Not the UK.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf*, and Debbi† putting in their answers: with Debbi scoring  five out of five, and Anne on four..

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) Osman 1st invaded Nicomedia: on 27th July of which year?

Q5) Finally … ?   The first transatlantic cable was completed: on 27th July, 1866.   It stretched from Valentia Island, in Ireland: to a town called Heart’s Content.   Heart’s Content is in which country?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Here’s a thought …
“Games give you a chance to excel, and if you’re playing in good company you don’t even mind if you lose because you had the enjoyment of the company during the course of the game.”
E. Gary Gygax, July 27, 1938 – March 4, 2008.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Morning, Anne: hope the day goes well!

†        Talking of drinks, Debbi, did I tell you I used to make a version of the Zombie‡ cocktail, when I was a barman?   Three different types of rum, pineapple juice, grapefruit juice, topped off with an overproof, naval rum.   Three different managers barred me from making them.   I can’t think why, punters paid money for those … !

‡        It’s called a Zombie for a reason.   If you’re not one of the walking dead, the morning after drinking one, you have more problems than you think.

That sounds as powerful as a Long Island ice tea. Can't remember what's in it. I only vaguely recall events that occurred after I had a few. :)

BTW, I doubt Trump's agreements help anyone. Not even us. In the US. :)
