*        I have to admit, Anne^, I quite liked Steven Moffat’s era: the Capaldi years always put me in mind of Tom Baker’s early years.   Then  … Remember The Pandora Opens, the Matt Smith episode?   The bit where the skull popped out of that Cyberman head?   I think Moffat threw that in to make Mary Whitehouse spin in her grave!

†        Oh, the TV saga gets worse, Olga^!   I had to take the second one back: because the screen didn’t work.   I was … well, fuming is putting it mildly … !   And that’s after having to buy a screwdriver … !

‡        I’ll look forward to it, Debbi^!   It’s always good to see the roots of things, isn’t it … ?   I keeping of getting hold of a good English translation of the Kalevala: It’s supposed to have influenced Tolkien and Moorcock …
