Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 8th February, 2020.

8th February, 2020.

It has to be said …

I’m spending a lot of late nights watching TV.

Or, at least, watching For All Mankind.

With last night’s episode featuring suspicious Soviets, rocket rescues and bodies in airlocks?

It was worth the effort.

One thing that’s caught my eye?

Is Microsoft’s Xbox division announcing that Nintendo and Sony — the companies behind the Switch, and the Playstion — aren’t its main rivals.

It’s Google and Amazon.

Which seemed counter-intuitive, to me.

Until I watch a video from LinusTechTips, over on Youtube.

One that made a very good point or two.

Naming Amazon may have been a bad choice.

But naming Google’s Stadia was an idea.

After all, in North America?

Macs and Chromeboxes are the default educational machines.

Get gamers buying them when they’re kids?

And you could be on to a long term winner …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with Debbi scoring five out of five, and Olga on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Here’s a thought …
“Trash is something you get rid of—or disease. I’m not something you get rid of.”
Lana Turner, February 8, 1921 – June 29, 1995.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Sorry, Olga!   But, strictly, they were mop tops … !   At ANY rate, I’ve managed to find a copy of Spartacus: so I’ll be watching that when I’ve got time.   And I’m converting Groundhog Day into a watchable file type, as we speak.   It’s 4k, it’s taking AGES!   Olivia de Havilland’s still alive?   Blimey: ‘glory’ is the right word … !   (Wasn’t Tony Curtis in The Vikings?   I read Kirk’s autobiography, many years ago.   I seem to recall him saying he teased Curtis mercilessly: for being the only Viking with a New Jersey accent.)

†        The DJ, Debbi?   I have to admit, I’d never heard of him, ’til you mentioned him!   As for the screaming … ?   It was George, they went made for him … !   Oh, did you see the BBC America Still to Come trailer?   The Cybermen have been re-designed …

Yes, Olivia de Havilland will be 104 in July (fingers crossed!). Indeed, Tony Curtis was in the Vikings. He was gorgeous at the time. Mind you, Kirk Douglas wasn’t bad either. Anyway, plenty of chest on display in Spartacus (and Tony Curtis as well. He’s Laurence Olivier’s slave… Oh well, no more spoilers).
