Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 11-4-2017

Right …

I’m going to apologise for getting this up, late.

But, would you believe it?

My main hard drive’s been playing up, over the past couple of days.

My morning’s started, not with a gentle, civilised, post: ruminating on the state of whatever happened to grab my attention, possibly THAT United Airlines.

But spending an hour — a teeny weenie hour, for heavens sakes! —respiring the thing from my Time Machine back up: after being up half the night, doing an in-depths permissions check!.

I’m getting seriously worried, though: not only am I late, I’m getting the old clicking noise from that main drive.

Not good sign.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Let’s see how they do with today’s questions, shall we?

I’ll leave you with a thought …
“When you are in a good theatre show, it is a wonderful and very fulfilling experience, entertaining a large audience and their showing their appreciation for your efforts.”
Joel Grey, 11th April, 1932.
And a tune: as Joel’s doing the double …

Today’s questions get answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day!

*        Oh, heck, you DO like to throw a boy a question, don’t you Olga!   Hmmm … I’ve done nothing for Easter, this year: the blessed thing’s a movable feast‡ — which is possibly something to look at — and keeps changing!   I’ve just had a very quick look, though: one of my questions reminds me that archeologists discovered an apocryphal text the press called the Book of Judas, which might be worth checking out.

†        I think we’re ALL showing our age, then, Debbi: but isn’t it odd that the word’s stuck around?   And you’re right, saving up dish, wonga, sponduliks, and just plain old fashioned cash, isn‘t going To be needed … !   Especially after the morning I’ve had!

‡        I think the thing’s supposed to fall on the first weekend after the first full moon after the equinox: I think!   Here …

I hope the thing gets sorted and it’s not more bad news. I’ve spent almost two hours trying to buy some train tickets from Barcelona to Madrid, because when I tried to use my Spanish bank card it insisted in sending a text message to check but only my mother’s phone is linked to the bank account and she doesn’t know how to read text messages. (And of course, she’s in Barcelona and I’m in the UK). Then when I tried to pay with my card from here it gave me an error message. Thanks to PayPal we have tickets, but I think it’s going to be a trying day… And it’s cloudy…. Anyway, onwards and upwards…
And thanks, I'll see what I can find and will check the book of Judas...
