Jurassic World: A Review

15th November, 2018.

Yep: I’m right, aren’t I … ?

It’s another day: and another dollar …

And yet another post.

Unemployment is …

Not starting to frustrate me, just yet.

After all, I’ve a little cash for the moment, and something to keep myself occupied.

Were it not for the fact it’s coming up to Christmas?

I’d be using some of the last bit of pay I’m due — tomorrow’s, so you know — to buy some paint: and take the time to redecorate.

As it is … ?

Well.

At any rate … ?

It’s another night off in the hopefully soon to be over rough patch.

I’ve a couple of options.

Stare at a screen saver.

Stare at another screen saver …

Watch a movie.

Yes: I went for watching a movie, in the end.

There’s only so much sitting in front of a screen a body can take!

At any rate … ?

At any rate, yes: I managed a movie, tonight.

And, yes: another movie in a franchise: Jurassic World.

You wondering what I thought, aren’t you … ?

Jurassic World shows us brothers, Zach and Gary (Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins): brothers sent off to visit their Aunty Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) whilst their parents sort out a potentially messy divorce.

Little do they know that Jurassic World’s newest attraction — the Indominus Rex, genetically engineered by Dr Wu (BD Wong) — is about to be introduced into the wild.

Nor that the park’s chief Velociraptor handler, Owen Grady — Chris Pratt — has some doubts about what ‘his’ creatures could be used for.

You can tell things are going to get … impractical, can’t you … ?

Now …

Good … ?

Bad … ?

Indifferent … ?

Cheesy … ?

Covered in fondue … ?

Outside of cheese products, Jurassic Park is …

Not necessarily stunning …

But is entertaining: the cast are sympathetic, the story well told, the dinosaurs scary …

And the scenery?

Stunning!

Personally?

Jurassic World possibly isn’t an artistic masterpiece.

But is a perfectly watchable evenings entertainment.
