Getting to bed when there’s fireworks going off is fun … but at least I got to read more of LeGuin’s The Left Hand of Darkness.

The only upside?   Is that I have tonight’s episode of Dr Who to look forward to!

I noticed that, yesterday, a number of business leaders have put their names to an open letter to the Sunday Times: calling for a referendum on the UK’s Brexit deal.

I, personally, think that would be nice.

Especially if one of the options is to stay in the EU.

I don’t — whatever the options — see it happening.

I don’t think there’s time.

*        Oh, it’ll cause issues, Olga, whether I want it too or not!   My commute involves two different train lines, TfL and Greater Anglia.   They don’t actually talk to each other when they write their time tables: especially the bus replacement onesª!   And Greater Anglia trains don’t take Oyster cards: the amount of people who I see getting stopped at Chelmsford, because TfL don’t them that … 

†        Hospital’s can make for a good horror setting, Debbi: but I guess you don’t need me to tell you that!   If it’s any help?   There’s been a few Carry On films in hospitals over the years.   They could be rather fun … !   (Mind you, Frankie Howerd probably loses a lot in translation … )
