Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 25th November, 2018.

25th November, 2018.

Actually, I tell something of a lie.

Yes: I’m listening to Radio 4.

But the Sunday Service hasn’t started, just yet.

It’s still the news.

Apparently?   The bookmakers have stopped taking money on whether the Duchess of Sussex is going to have twins.

Which USUALLY means it’s a certainty, but there you go …

~≈§≈~

In amongst the turmoil of modern radio listening?

I notice it’s Sunday.

Which means … ?

Well, for starters?

It’s Dr Who night.

And, boy I’m kicking myself that I’m not in the US.

Had I been?   I’m sure I’d’ve notice that Amazon Prime managed to this this week’s episode, instead of uploading LAST weeks episode.

Gosh, that was silly!

At any rate?

It’s not on Pirate Bay.

Thankfully or otherwise.

And it’s a mistake that’s been corrected.

~≈§≈~

The other thing to quickly mention, here?

I’ve had quite a lot of free time, just recently.

You’ve noticed.

I’ve managed to fill it by job-hunting: and catching up on the half a ton of media files in my media collection.

One thing I managed to catch, last night?

Was the first episode of the Spanish language TV series, El Ministerio del Tiempo.

The Ministry of Time, if you want it in English.

Can I suggest you catch that … ?   Especially if you were ever a fan of Torchwood.

It’s rather good.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) The Battle of Red Fork took place on 25th November, 1876.  The battle saw US troops attack a village occupied by which tribe?

Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 24th November, 2016, saw the signing of the treaty — between the Government and armed rebels — that ended which county’s Civil War?
A1) Columbia’s.

Q3) 24th November, 1942, saw the birth of comedian, actor, ex-docker and writer, Billy Connelly.   Which writer and psychologist is he married to?

Q5) Finally … 24th November, 2004, saw licensing laws change: which meant what could serve alcohol for 24 hours?
Here’s a thought …
“Condemn me, it does not matter: history will absolve me‡.”
Fidel Castro, 13 August 1926 – 25 November 2016.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Oh, yes!   Olga, thanking you for mentioning The Ministry of Time: that first episode was quite something.   One scene stuck in my mind.   The team are tasked with giving one character a highly important message.   Turns out HQ has cancelled this year’s Christmas bonus …

†        Oh, good luck with that, Debbi!   Hope it goes well!   Did I mention The Ministry of Time?   There’s a lot of time travel!

‡        A version of that quote is used in the Annihilation mix of Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s Two Tribes.   (Yes: that was Chris Barrie doing that voice-over.)

I am so pleased you've enjoyed the first episode of el Ministerio del Tiempo. There are some humorous episodes and some more serious ones. As I said, when they showed it here they also showed a documentary where they explained how they'd made the episode and the historical background. Fingers crossed for tomorrow and you job hunting!
