7th November, 2018.
That’s …
An odd start to the morning.
Well …
An odd thing to find in your postbox.
That letter I’m waving about in today’s Intro video … ?
Is what’s called a Notice Seeking Possession.
It’s an eviction notice, in other words, kicking someone out of their home.
The thing is … ?
And if you were paying attention to the video?
It’s not my eviction notice.
Not for me, not from my landlord.
It’s for someone on the other side of town.
~≈§≈~
So, I hear you say …
What are you planning to do with it, Paul?
Frankly, I’ve popped the landlord’s address on it, along side the phrase “Not Known At the Address”, and will be plonking it into the post when I go to town, later.
Sending it directly to the tenant?
Seems a little too cruel.
Either way … ?
I’m left wondering why an eviction notice for someone else land up on my doorstep?
Did the landlord make a mistake? I doubt it, somehow.
Did the tenant want help? I’d imagine so, but asking the Citizen’s Advise Bureau seems the better option.
Did the tenant want to get rid of the thing?
Well, frankly, that seems more likely: but shoving it in the bin — however unwise I might find it — seems easier.
I imagine I’ll never get to find out …
But I’d love to know* …

* I can also do one other thing. I doubt the tenant is reading this, but if she is? Good luck.
† Cruel’s the word, Olga. If it’s any consolation, the men involved have been arrested …
‡ Showing you’re age, there, Debbi … ! *Runs away!*. At ANY rate … ? How’s that eviction letter for a mystery? Lord knows what happened, there!

It is a mystery, indeed. We can but hope that things work out well for the person in question, but what a fright!
I'm aware that I'm showing my age. Frankly, I think I'm lucky to have lived this long! :)
As for the eviction letter, that is odd.
