Did I mention I’ve got another hygienist’s appointment, today?
I’ve got another hygienist’s appointment, today.
So you know.
Frankly?
I’m looking forward to it.
I have an appointment for free, with the student hygienists: as I’m receiving Universal Credit.
And the two students? Seem both competent and pleasant.
The drawback, of course … ?
Is that it’s cold out.
And those pavements? Look dangerous.
~≈🧊≈~
Given it’s this cold … ?
I’ve got one question.
Just one.
How on Earth did a fire start on Dartmoor?
It’s not like it can be set off by a streak of lightning, not in this weather!
Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Edith† Trevor‡, Mum^, and Debbiª putting in their answers: with Trevor, Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, Edith on three and Mum on two.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here’s a thought …
‘Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.’Abraham Lincoln.
And a video …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Feel free to share today’s video Teaser.
Have a good day.
* It’s another Batman situation, Olga. Basically, Britannica list Mary’s year of birth as 1934: but with a question mark to tell us they’re can’t be sure. Wikipedia’s On This Day page for the 11th February lists it as 1934. But their article on her lists it as 1930: and cites a couple of references! I went with the Wikipedia article, as it has references: but raised it on the Talk page. And re-worded the question, as you saw.
Argh!
As for references … ? I think your Washington connection has a point: I think employers make their mind up in advance a good chunk of the time …
† Oh, cheers for that, Edith! That chart will come in handy, next time I do a stew! And, yes: the Joker had some great speeches in The Dark Knight! It’s a such a shame Heath Ledger died, he put in such a powerful performance!
‡ Yeah: age discrimination laws can be handy, Trevor. I don’t know that they’d stop people, but at least there’s something.
^ Hello, Mum!
ª Tell me about it, Debbi! It’s a pain in the proverbial! Going TOTALLY off the subject? Did you ever hear Exit, by Jean Michel Jarre? The chap doing the talking may be familiar …

It seems a bit difficult to imagine that she had tried to make herself look older, but hey, I guess anything is possible.
I was reading an article about AI making decisions about job selection at the early stages, and I've that Amazon decided to stop using their own programme for it, because it seems it discriminated against women and ethnic minorities (the idea being that the system learned what characteristics had got previous candidates employed and used the same criteria...)
Be careful out there!
