Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 19-11-2018: International Men’s Day

19th November, 2018.

Yep: it’s a Monday: which means it’s another day, gloriously job hunting.

Where I’m not, you know … thinking about job hunting.

Or trying to access the internet — here or at Brentwood Library — so that I can, you know

Job hunt!

You can see a theme, here, can’t you … ?

~≈§≈~

At any rate … ?

You can possibly tell I’ve had some time on my hands.

Obviously.

Right at the moment, I do know I’m worrying about the basics: food, gas, electricity, what have you.

I’m OK for a few days … but thinking I may have to put in for a hardship loan of some description.

Here’s hoping I can find out who I get that from … !

If the interview I’m due to go to on Wednesday doesn’t pay out?

Well …

~≈§≈~

One nice upside … ?

Is simply the fact I managed to catch last night’s episode of Dr Who*.

Which, granted, wasn’t necessarily the strongest episode: but still one that was rather good.

About my only complaint, thus far: one I know won’t be actioned until next year, at the earliest …?

I miss these guys … !

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 19th November is International Mens Day.   When was it first marked: 1992, 1993 or 1994?

Q3) What — in the UK — is the biggest killer of men under 45?
Q4) Women have œstrogen: men have …
Q5) Finally … ?   Cryptorchidism means a man has one or less what … ?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 18th November, 1961, saw 18, 000 US ‘military advisers’ sent to which then country?
Q2) By which US President?
Q3) Moving on … ?   The push button phoned debuted on 18th November, 1963.   The tones each button generates is a DTMF tone.   In other words, it’s Dual-Tone Multiwhat?
A3) Frequency.

Q5) 18th November, 1809, saw French frigates beat British East Indiamen: in which Indian bay?
A5) The Bay of Bengal.
Here’s a thought …
“A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes.”
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.
And some music …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        I think a big thank you to Mike — @Dark_Blue_Box, over at Twitter — for the comment … !

†        Containers?   You mean shipping containers, Olga?   Wouldn’t’ve minded seeing that one!   (I did catch his Important Astrology Experiment, a few years ago.   That was a lucky bet … !)

‡        Now that IS bad, Debbi!   At least Apple have a phone service: although you have to ask them to phone you …

Q1) 1992
Q2) Andrology
Q3) Suicide
Q4) Testosterone
Q5) Testicles
Yes, shipping containers. It's quite similar to the ones where they auction the contents of unclaimed or unpaid storage rooms... only usually bigger and pricier. The American version can be more surprising but... Good luck with job hunting, Paul.
