The Mandalorian — Series 2 Episode 6 — Chapter 14 The Tragedy — A Review

13th March, 2021.

I have to say, Saturday night’s are to be a thing.

No, really.

I’m starting to get used to the idea of watching a streamed TV show on a Saturday night.

It’s about the one upside to not working.

I’ve a regular night that I can schedule for a (cheapish) pleasure.

Blogging about the one I find interesting?

Is something of an added bonus.

At any rate?

I’ve seen another episode of The Mandalorianseries two.

And, of course, will tell you more, on Sunday night!

14th March, 2021.

Opening with the usual summary of previous episodes, Episode 6 — Chapter 14The Tragedy — sees the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) taking Grogu — the child — to the ancient Temple on Tython.

Without realising they’re being followed.

It’s only after the Mandalorian places the Child on the Temple’s ancient Seeing Stone, that he notices another spaceship arrive.

That one set of shooting starts … from someone claiming the Mandalorian armour.

Only to be interrupted by more shooting: from a bunch of storm troopers working for Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito).

There’s tragedy following in the wake of the Moff’s cruiser …

Chained!

Now … I have a little bit of eyestrain, at the moment.

And also have to admit … that I’ve made very short work of summarising The Tragedy.

Granted, it’s half an hour long …

But it’s half an hour of exceptional story telling, lots of action, great world building, a great performance from Kiwi actor, Temuera Morrison* … and a cliffhanger ending!

Frankly?

I am looking forward to the next episode: I’ll be watching that, on Saturday, 20th March, writing about it on the 21st …

And really want to see who the Child gets out of his manacles … !

*        I’m going to have to track down Once Were Warriors: it’s been years since I’ve seen it!
