The Daily Teaser — 08-08-2012

Hmmm …

I have to admit, I’m actually feeling fairly chipper, this morning.

Especially when you consider that — last night — I actually couldn’t get to sleep for …

Well …

I’m tempted to say AGES, but that’s always rather a tricky one to define, isn’t it?

Either way, I’m feeling chipper.

Although I suspect, not as chipper as Team GB.

We are still in overall third place on the medal table.

But managed to bag more Gold, yesterday.

In Dressage and cycling.

Well done, Team GB.

Let’s move on, shall we?   Before the cynical side of me points out we’re doing well at the sports where there’s a lot of sitting down involved …

Yesterday’s teaser saw both Trevor* and Debbiª putting in their answers: AND bagging   6 out of 6.

Let’s see how they — and you — do with today’s questions, shall we?   Here they are, along with the ‘How To’, License and video …

Q1) 8th August, 1605, saw Charles 9th of Sweden found which European city?

Q6) And finally … 8th August, 1876, saw Thomas Edison receive the patent for which device … ?
And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Enjoy those, everyone.

After I’ve left you with a nod to Fun Lovin’ Criminals frontman, Huey Morgan …

And this quote from Olympic loser, Roger Federer‡ …
“I try to push myself not to get upset and stay positive, and that's what my biggest improvement is over all those years. Under pressure I can see things very clear.”
Roger Federer, born 8 August 1981

*        I refer the honourable Trevor to the comments I made, yesterday … !

ª        Actually, Debbi, remember suggesting a good read, last night, on Twitter … ?   I’ve STILL got Least Wanted to finish … !

‡        Well, he came second, for once …

I hope you were able to read a bit more of Least Wanted. Sounds like you slept well, at any rate. :)
