Right now, I’m intent on just …
One …
Thing.
I’m intent on writing the quickest post I possibly can.
Before I hit the sack.
Four o’clock start, don’t you know?
But I had to tell you: I’ve seen episode nine of Star Trek Discovery.
And, while I don’t see the point in a mid-season hiatus — especially on what, after all, is a purely online TV series — I’m actually looking for January: when CBS are releasing episode 10.
But … ?
Well …
~≈◊≈~
Episode 9 — Into The Forest I Go — opens above the skies of Pahvo: showing us the Kol’s flagship arriving above the planet, and looking for a confrontation with the Discovery.
The only way for Captain Lorca (Jason Isaacs) to make sure they can track the thing?
Is to send Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Tyler (Shazad Latif) on to the ship.
To hide a pair of sensors.
It’s only when they get there, they realise two things.
Kol of the House of Kor (Kenneth Mitchell) is a lot more ambitious than first thought.
And that the sarcophagus ship?
Still has a captive …
Admiral Cornwell …

Now …
Good?
Yes: I’m thinking Into The Forest I Go was fantastic.
And wishing I had more time to chew over the episode.
For now?
You’ll have to take my word for it: the first half of the first series of Star Trek: Discovery is leaving wanting to leapfrog Christmas and dive straight into January.
Have a good night.
