Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 2nd September, 2018.

2nd September, 2018.

It’s true: the BBC’s tweeted a new publicity shot of Ryan and Yasmin — Toisin Cole and Mandip Gill —yesterday.

Which is nice.

But what’s frustrating?

Is, of course, the simple fact that there’s still no air date.

I’m getting twitted off.

How about you?

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: scoring five out of five in the process.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) Author, Paul Bourget, was born on 2nd September, 1852.   He was from which European country?
Q2) The body of Barbara Leach was found: on 2nd September, 1979.   She was the twelfth victim of which killer?
Q3) The Milperra massacre — a shoot out between rival biker gangs — took place on 2nd September, 1984.   In which Australian city?
Q4) Footballer and manager, Bill Shankly, was born: on 2nd September, 1913.   Which team did he manager between 1959 and 1974?
Q5) Finally … 2nd September, 1951, saw British designers revealed a fashion collection they were due to show: at an art festival in which Italian city?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 1st September, 1939, saw the start of World War Two: when Germany invaded Poland.   The war ended in which year?
A1) 1945.
Q2) A contributing factor in the War was Germany’s domination by whom: Benito Mussolini, Francisco Franco or Adolf Hitler?
Q3) During the war, Germany and its allies were generally known as which ‘A’?
A3) The Axis Powers.
Q4) Its opponents included the UK, US, USSR and China: collectively called what?
A4) The Allies.
Q5) The War finished when which Asian nation surrendered?
A5) Japan.
Here’s a thought …
“At certain moments, words are nothing; it is the tone in which they are uttered.”
Ch. 5 “Countess Steno,” from Cosmopolis, by Paul Bourget, 2 September 1852 – 25 December 1935.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Oh, don’t I know it, Debbi!?   The upside is there’s usually not a mid-season break: which is just as frustrating.   Oh, Rick’s finally made the jump?   He’ll probably find these keyboard shortcuts handy.   Oh, and one of these adaptors.   Means he can plug extra bits in!   Um … Oh, there’s a screen sharing† option: you can use it to transfer stuff from your machine, to his.   And, if we can figure out how to do it?   We can use iCloud to do something similar.   This playlist may be useful.

†        At home, it’s how I transfer stuff from my old Mac Pro, and Mac mini, to my new iMac.   I though I’d lost my copy of Oxygene until I thought to look on the Mac Pro and drag them over …

Just as a final thought, Debbi?

You might want to let Rick know that downloading TorBrowser, and using it to visit PirateBay, Demonoid or ExtraTorrent, then installing Transmission, and using it to download torrent files he gets from them …

Would be naughty.

It’s illegal, after all!

I know (Started Trek Discovery is all over any three torrent sites you care to mention …)

He's probably going to avoid illegal stuff. Probably for the best. Being a lawyer puts one in no position to argue ignorance of such things. :)
