The Daily Teaser — 04-09-2012

Hmmm …

Well, today’s the theoretical day.

In other words — and just in case you hadn’t realised — today’s the day that the engineer turns up to fix my boiler.

Which is good.

But I can’t help but be mildly paranoid about it, given how long it’s taken to get this far.

Oy veh …!

Possibly I’m worrying over nothing.

Let’s hope so.

And get moving on …

◊◊◊◊◊

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi putting in her answers: along with bagging 7 out of 7, also explained a little more about her crowd-sourcing project*.

Let’s see how she — and you — do with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the ‘How To’, License and video …

Enjoy those, everyone.

As today is Beyoncé Knowles’ birthday, we’ll do that booty-licious thing, shall we …

Oh … And I’ll leave you with this quote from the late Dick York …
“Piper insisted she had to be out of breath when we played this one scene, so she ran around the block. Thank God she wasn't doing a crucifixion scene; we would have had to nail her to the wall.”Dick York  September 4, 1928 – February 20, 1992

*       So, hang on, Debbi, you’d effectively be a publisher … ?   Although starting small, with your own work … ?   Hmmm … You know, that’s got me thinking …

Oh, but I am one. I have a publishing imprint. Renegade Press. The trick is distribution. This is where everyone depends on retailers. And so many authors rely on Amazon to be their publisher and retailer. Because they've nearly sewn up the market. However, if you use crowdsourcing, you can make money and distribute books on your own through the Internet. This is assuming you develop a good plan, spread the word and get enough support.

I've written more about one success story on my Midlist blog today, and mentioned you! :)

Thanks for being there, Paul. You are a genuine friend. :)
