Which is good.
But I can’t help but be mildly paranoid about it, given how long it’s taken to get this far.

Possibly I’m worrying over nothing.

Oh, but I am one. I have a publishing imprint. Renegade Press. The trick is distribution. This is where everyone depends on retailers. And so many authors rely on Amazon to be their publisher and retailer. Because they've nearly sewn up the market. However, if you use crowdsourcing, you can make money and distribute books on your own through the Internet. This is assuming you develop a good plan, spread the word and get enough support.
