Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 15-10-2016: Boom Bang-a-bang …

Hmmm …

I’ve actually got today, off.

Which sounds odd, coming from a chap that’s literally just started work.

Today?

Today, though?

Is different, because it’s a Saturday off … for someone who’s a working man.

Unlike last Saturday, where I was an unemployed parasite, leeching off the state.

The fact I’ve not been paid my first week’s wages?   And really can’t afford to do anything about it … ?   Or actually, I don’t know, maybe take a friend out for a coffee?

Really has nothing to do with it.

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser was quiet: with no-one putting in their answers.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s themed questions, shall we?   Here they are, along with the How To, License and video

Q1) 15th October saw the UK carry out its second nuclear bomb test: in which year of the 1950s?
Q2) The tests were carried out in a remote part of Australia.   Called what: Emu Field, Koala Meadow or Wombat Hill?
Q3) The government name for the tests was Operation what: Toboggan, Totem or Tomahawk?
Q4) These Australian tests were so the government could see how much fissionable metal to use in a bomb.   Which metal: plutonium, uranium or curium?
Q5) The metal concerned was named after what: a cartoon dog, a planet or a scientist?

Q10) Finally … Three nations have tested nuclear weapons since the signing of the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty.   Name one of them.
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) The world’s first Gay Rights March took place: on 14th October, 1979.   In which US city?

Q2) Field Marshal Erwin Rommel committed suicide, on 14th October, 1944.   After being involved in a plot to kill whom?

A4) Scotland.
Q5) Finally … Éamon De Valera was born: on 14th October, 1882.   He was the third president: of where?
A5) The Republic of Ireland.
I’ll leave you with this thought …
“It worked!”
Robert J. Oppenheimer, on successfully completing the Trinity tests: the original US bomb tests.
And this tune* …

Oh … and THIS tune …

Oh … and the Carnage mix …

I wonder how much money ZTT made off the back of that?

And, JUST for something completely different … ?

Enjoy your day.

*        The wrestlers in the Video Destructo version of the song?   Are supposed to be then US and USSR leaders, Ronald Reagan and Konstantin Chernenko.   So you know.   A modern version of the video would probably feature Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin.
